Hello and Welcome to my web page. My name is Jody Concha.
I am a licensed  Investigative Researcher and Genealogist.

My Mission

To service you personally and privately with the experience and knowledge necessary to provide you with accurate quality data and find the people you are seeking.

Company Profile

I have enjoyed 17 wonderful years of experience in Genealogical Research.  I am also deeply involved in research to help others locate living Heirs, Adoption locator; and finding birth parents or siblings, and People finder; helping people find lost family, friends or love ones.   I reside in South Carolina, and my research capabilities cover the entire United States.

My Genealogical work involves researching on-site and with the vast resources of the South Carolina Department of Archives and History, university libraries, rare books and special collections, and many of the U. S. Genealogical societies. Some of my historical and archive research includes such avenues as the Library of Congress, the DAR Library, LDS Church Family History Library,  Furman University Libraries Special Collections and Archives (specializing in South Carolina Baptist Historical Collection) and the South Carolina State Library .
I have explored on location in town hall basements, graveyards, courthouses, etc. for over 17 years now.

I have extensive experience using computers and the Internet,  in support of genealogical research.  I regularly attend lectures at local, regional, and national conferences, as well as, at the Institute for Genealogy and Historical Research.
I maintain a complete library of reference materials, microfilm equipment, and a customized research reporting database on site.
Some of the microfilmed resources I have on hand are:
  • Georgia Statewide Death Certificates 1914 -1927
  • North Carolina Statewide Death Certificates, 1909-1975
  • Michigan Statewide Birth Registration Records 1867-1902
  • Michigan Statewide Marriages Registration Records 1868-1925
  • Michigan Statewide Death Registration Records 1867-1897
  • Ohio Statewide Deaths Certificates 1908-1953
  • Pennsylvania, Philadelphia City Death Certificates, 1803-1915
  • Texas Statewide Death Certificates 1890-1976
  • Utah Statewide Death Certificates 1904-1956
  • Utah, Salt Lake County Death Records, 1908 - 1949
  • Washington Statewide Death Certificates, 1907-1960
  • 231 United States Newspaper Archives including Obituaries, on microfilm
    To name just a few.

Death certificates are the best source of death information. A death certificate contains the birth date and birthplace of the individual; the name of the spouse; the names of parents, and the parents' birthplace; the place of residence; the name of the informant; who may be a child or relative of the deceased, the place and date of burial, and the name of the funeral home who handled the burial. Death certificates contain useful clues for further research.

    Services

My People finder and Adoption locator services have allowed me to work as a subcontractor for the " Nation's leading provider of People Search and Background Checks" USSearch for the past three years.   I assist them cases, where answers could not be found in databases alone.

I continue to do Heir locator research for Wilson Oil & Gas Company, based in Houston, Texas.  I handle some of their most difficult case files.

Please see my Testimonials page to see what others are saying about me and my research.
